Cookie Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how BLDESY! (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and platform, and what choices you have regarding their use.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide information to website owners, and improve the user experience. Cookies can be “persistent” (remaining on your device until deleted or until they expire) or “session” (deleted when you close your browser).

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. They enable core functionality such as user authentication, session management, and security features. Without these cookies, the Services cannot be provided. Essential cookies do not require your consent.

Examples: Authentication tokens, session identifiers, CSRF protection tokens

Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This helps us improve the performance and usability of our Services. We set our own first-party analytics cookie, bld_aid (12 months), which holds an anonymous identifier used to measure how visitors move through our signup funnels. We also use Google Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics, and the Meta Pixel (which additionally supports measuring the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta platforms); these tools may set their own cookies.

Examples: Page views, bounce rates, traffic sources, feature usage patterns, signup-funnel steps

Preference Cookies

These cookies allow the Platform to remember choices you make (such as your preferred theme, language, or region) and provide enhanced, personalised features. They may also be used to remember changes you have made to customisable parts of the Platform.

Examples: Theme preferences (light/dark mode), notification settings, recently viewed tradies

Referral Cookies

If you arrive at BLDESY via a referral link, we set a bld_ref cookie (30 days) holding the referral code, so that the referrer can be credited if you sign up. It is not used for any other tracking.

Managing Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find cookie settings in the “Options”, “Settings”, or “Preferences” menu of your browser. Here are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
  • Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions

Please note that blocking or deleting certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform. If you disable essential cookies, you may not be able to use some features of our Services, such as signing in to your account.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party services we use on our pages — currently Google Analytics (Google LLC) and the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.). We do not control the cookies used by these third parties, and they may use the information they collect for their own purposes as described in their privacy policies. We recommend reviewing the privacy and cookie policies of any third-party services you interact with through our Platform.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage how Meta uses your data via Meta ad preferences.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our business practices. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to check this page periodically for the latest information about our use of cookies.

If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at hello@bldesy.com.au
